Samsung Electronics will introduce the latest model of its Ultra-edition range of popular mobile phones at the exhibition World Congress in Barcelona next week. The phone, called “Soul” is a slider-type combined with an eye-catching touch screen below the display. The navigation panel displays icons that change depending on the application being implemented on the handset. For example, in photo mode, icons such as zoom and brightness appears, any music player functions appear in music mode.
The quad-band GSM supports data up to 7.2Mbps download over HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) network and the network also has Bluetooth wireless 2.0.
Other features include a 5 megapixel camera with face detection and image stabilizer, FM radio with RDS (Radio Data System), and a musical based on the technology of Bang & Olufsen.
The phone will be available worldwide and struck Europe in April.
Samsung Ultra line has proved a great success with style-conscious consumers. All phones in the range emphasize thinness, and the new combined Soul is no different than 12.9 millimetres thick. But it is nowhere that the Ultra 5.9 slim handset that Samsung has unveiled this time last year in Barcelona. The phone candy bar, as its name implies, is only 5.9 millimetres thick.
